2001年5月，在同濟(jì)大學(xué)努力建設(shè)國(guó)際知名的、綜合性、研究型、高水平大學(xué)的進(jìn)程中，同濟(jì)大學(xué)傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院應(yīng)運(yùn)而生。本院依托同濟(jì)大學(xué)這所百年名校的學(xué)科優(yōu)勢(shì)和地處上海市這座國(guó)際大都市的區(qū)位優(yōu)勢(shì)，緊密追隨當(dāng)代國(guó)際傳播、藝術(shù)、技術(shù)前沿，牢牢把握“藝術(shù)”與“傳播”日益融合的大趨勢(shì)，確立了以新媒體傳播理念為導(dǎo)向，以新媒體藝術(shù)與技術(shù)融合為抓手，打破傳播學(xué)與藝術(shù)學(xué)的傳統(tǒng)壁壘，培養(yǎng)具有“扎實(shí)理論基礎(chǔ)、國(guó)際化視野、創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)作能力、中國(guó)文化特色”的新媒體傳播與藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域的實(shí)用性、復(fù)合型高級(jí)傳播與藝術(shù)人才。 |

傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院的學(xué)科設(shè)置主要基于新媒體藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作與技術(shù)、新聞傳播理論與實(shí)務(wù)，包括新型傳播與社會(huì)研究、廣告創(chuàng)意與創(chuàng)新研究、電子傳媒與新聞研究、新興科技與出版研究、視覺(jué)文化研究、計(jì)算機(jī)動(dòng)畫(huà)與視覺(jué)特效研究、交互媒體研究、數(shù)字影音研究、非平面影像研究等多個(gè)研究領(lǐng)域。學(xué)院擁有新聞傳播學(xué)、藝術(shù)學(xué)兩個(gè)一級(jí)學(xué)科碩士點(diǎn)，以及藝術(shù)碩士專(zhuān)業(yè)學(xué)位點(diǎn)，設(shè)有廣告學(xué)、動(dòng)畫(huà)、廣播電視編導(dǎo)、廣播電視新聞、攝影等5個(gè)系和本科專(zhuān)業(yè)。 |

目前，學(xué)院在校本科生600余人、研究生100余人?，F(xiàn)有教職工59人，專(zhuān)職教師43人。其中，教授8名、副教授10名、碩士生導(dǎo)師22（含電影學(xué)院和音樂(lè)系）。此外，聘請(qǐng)了美國(guó)邁阿密大學(xué)李聰博士、德國(guó)包豪斯大學(xué)（Bauhaus University）的Jans Geelhaar教授、意大利博洛尼亞大學(xué)（Bologna University）Giacomo Manzoli教授、德國(guó)國(guó)際著名的影視藝術(shù)家王小慧教授、中央電視臺(tái)楊金月教授、鳳凰衛(wèi)視邱震海博士等一批國(guó)內(nèi)知名學(xué)者和藝術(shù)家擔(dān)任客座或兼職教授。 |

傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院積極開(kāi)展國(guó)際合作與交流，與德國(guó)包豪斯大學(xué)、意大利博洛尼亞大學(xué)、臺(tái)灣世新大學(xué)等聯(lián)合開(kāi)展“雙學(xué)位碩士”培養(yǎng)以及教師互訪講學(xué)計(jì)劃，與英國(guó)西敏斯特大學(xué)、德國(guó)奧芬巴赫設(shè)計(jì)學(xué)院、香港城市大學(xué)、臺(tái)灣昆山科技大學(xué)等開(kāi)展互派學(xué)生交流學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃以及教師互訪講學(xué)計(jì)劃。
近幾年，傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院教師在教學(xué)與科研方面取得了一系列可喜成績(jī)。課程《圖形創(chuàng)意》、《動(dòng)畫(huà)運(yùn)動(dòng)規(guī)律》獲得國(guó)家級(jí)精品稱(chēng)號(hào)，《創(chuàng)新工程學(xué)》獲上海市重點(diǎn)建設(shè)課程以及同濟(jì)大學(xué)精品課程；獲國(guó)家教學(xué)成果二等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)，獲上海市教學(xué)成果獎(jiǎng)一等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)、二等獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)；承擔(dān)國(guó)家級(jí)以及省部級(jí)科研項(xiàng)目23項(xiàng)，出版專(zhuān)著教材25部，發(fā)表高水平論文104篇。在國(guó)內(nèi)外各類(lèi)競(jìng)賽中，傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院學(xué)生獲得國(guó)家文科計(jì)算機(jī)一等獎(jiǎng)、全國(guó)大學(xué)生廣告藝術(shù)大賽一等獎(jiǎng)等獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)2002項(xiàng)。 |

The College of Communication and Arts was founded in 2001 as part of the effort in shaping Tongji University into a high-level, international, and comprehensive research university. Benefit from the academic strength of Tongji and the international metropolis position of Shanghai, our college is able to stay in the frontier of contemporary development in communication, art and technology. We believe in the concept of integrating communication and arts into a comprehensive field of education, we set the new media – based communication and the new media art and technology integration as our focus, and we aim at cultivating multidisciplinary talents in communication and arts with solid theoretical foundation, international vision, innovation and creativity, as well as good comprehension of Chinese culture. The academic development at our college is around two main directions, 1) New Media Art Creation and Technology and 2) Journalism and Communication Theory and Practice. Sub-directions include Communication and Social Studies, Advertising Creativity and Innovation, New Media in Communication and Journalism, New Technology in Publishing, Visual Culture Studies, Computer Animation and Visual Effects, Interactive Media, Digital Audio and Video, and Non-planar Imaging. We have three master programs, Master of Art, Master of Fine Art, Master of Communication, and five undergraduate majors, Advertising, Animation, Audio/Video Art, Broadcast Journalism, and Photography. Currently, our college has more than 600 undergraduate students and 100 graduate students. We have 59 faculty and staff members. Out of the 43 full-time faculty members, there are 8 professors, 10 associate professors, and 22 master advisors. Additionally, many well-known scholars and artists are working as our visiting or adjunct professors: Dr. Li Cong from University of Miami, Professor Jans Geelhaar from Bauhaus University, Professor Giacomo Manzoli from Bologna University, well-known photo artist Xiaohui Wang, Professor Yang Jinyue from CCTV, and Dr. Zhenhai Qiu from Phoenix TV. We got strong support from the University in the development of our teaching and research platform. A college building of 13,000 square meters was built on Jiading campus, more than 60 million Chinese RMB were invested in the equipment and lab setup. Public platforms currently in use or under construction include: professional broadcasting studio, virtual broadcasting studio, car photographing studio, theater, animation lab, non-linear editing lab, digital animation lab, digital audio workstations, electronic media lab, art teaching center, print digital image room, media information system, library arts branch of the university library, and the new media art gallery. Also under development are four research labs, Computer Animation and Visual Effects Lab, Interactive Media Lab, Digital Audio-Visual Lab, and Non-planar Imaging Lab. In order to support student activities, we also set up two innovation platforms, the E-Catch editorial office and the student video production studio. Our college is active in international collaborations. We have double-degree master programs with Bauhaus University, BolognaUniversity, and Shixi University. We also have various types of student and faculty exchange programs with University of Westminster, Offenbach School of Design, City University of Hong Kong, and Kun Shan University. A series of achievements have been made in recent years by our faculty members. The course “Graphic Creation”, “Principles of Animated Movement” are awarded the title of national best courses. The course “Innovation Engineering” is awarded the title of Shanghai key development course and Tongji best course. We also won one second prize of National Teaching Achievement, one first prize and one second prize of Shanghai Teaching Achievement. 23 national and provincial scientific research projects are carried out in our college. 25 books and 104 papers written by our faculty members are published. In various national and international competitions, students from our college have won 2002 prizes including the first prize of the national computer competition for liberal arts majors and the first prize of the national college student advertisement competition.

動(dòng)畫(huà)系介紹
同濟(jì)大學(xué)傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院動(dòng)畫(huà)專(zhuān)業(yè)創(chuàng)辦于2002年，是上海市重點(diǎn)高校中首批開(kāi)設(shè)的動(dòng)畫(huà)藝術(shù)專(zhuān)業(yè)之一，旨在為動(dòng)畫(huà)、游戲、電影、電視、會(huì)展、傳媒等行業(yè)輸送 高質(zhì)量的復(fù)合型、創(chuàng)新型人才。動(dòng)畫(huà)專(zhuān)業(yè)下設(shè)二維動(dòng)畫(huà)、三維動(dòng)畫(huà)與影視特效、交互媒體藝術(shù)三個(gè)方向，目前共有專(zhuān)職教師11名（其中2名教授為美國(guó)知名高校博 士），每屆招收本科學(xué)生約45人。

在全體師生的共同努力下，動(dòng)畫(huà)專(zhuān)業(yè)于2008年被評(píng)為教育部特色專(zhuān)業(yè)，并于2009年榮獲上海市教學(xué)成果二等獎(jiǎng)。
The Animation Department was created in the College of Communication and Art at Tongji University in 2002. It was among the earliest animation departments established in the key universities in Shanghai. The purpose is to educate and cultivate talents with comprehensive knowledge and innovative spirits for the lines of industries such as animation, electronic entertainment, film, television, museum and exhibition, and media, etc. There are three specialties under the discipline: 2D animation, 3D animation and visual effects, and interactive art. Currently we have 11 faculty members (among them two professors with Ph.D degrees obtained from top universities in the U.S.) The department admits 45 undergraduate students each year.
The College of Communication and Art provides the department with first-class experimental space and hardware equipments. There are two professional drawing rooms, a stereoscopic theatre, a new media art gallery, a computer animation room, a virtual studio, and research laboratories for computer animation and visual effects (under construction), interactive art (under construction), electronic media, non-planar screen (under construction), and motion capture (under construction).
With the joint efforts of our faculty and students, the Animation Department was honored as a specialty with distinction by the Ministry of Education of China in 2008, and was awarded the 2nd prize of educational achievements by the Shanghai municipal government in 2009.

Introduction of Advertising Subject
TongjiUniversity is the one that sets up advertising course earlier than other universities in Shanghai. At first, advertising subjectbelongs to College of Economics and Management, focusing on business. When College of Communication and Art established in 2002, the advertising subjecttransferred from College of Economics and Management to College of Communication and Art. In accordance with its orientation requirements made by Ministry of Education, the college studied international and domestic similar situation where advertising course is taught, especially in Shanghai, and also took into account the features of China’s current advertising industry, along with the subject characteristics and related conditions of Tongji University. As a result, the college redefined the orientation of advertising subject. Shifting from simply business focus, the priority gave to communication. At the same time, the college laid equal emphasis on marketing. In recent years, in the course of theoretical analysis and practical exploration, the direction of subjectdevelopment based on traditional media, towards new media, such as network, interactive television and digital television is taking shape, with the basic content of advertising and brand marketing, advertising planning, graphic design and television advertising production.

攝影系介紹
同濟(jì)大學(xué)傳播與藝術(shù)學(xué)院攝影專(zhuān)業(yè)創(chuàng)辦于2003年，其辦學(xué)目的是培養(yǎng)具有國(guó)際文化視野與中國(guó)文化特色、符合新經(jīng)濟(jì)時(shí)代需求、有廣泛科學(xué)文化和藝術(shù)理論知識(shí)，具備圖片攝影的專(zhuān)業(yè)創(chuàng)作和制作能力、了解影視攝影與攝像的基本技能和有關(guān)新媒體藝術(shù)的發(fā)展動(dòng)向，能夠在新聞媒體、影視制作、音像出版、廣告策劃等行業(yè)及其它傳媒文化產(chǎn)業(yè)中從事攝影、攝像方面的藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作、教學(xué)和研究工作的高級(jí)專(zhuān)門(mén)人才。

學(xué)院為攝影專(zhuān)業(yè)提供了一流的實(shí)驗(yàn)空間與硬件設(shè)備，包括汽車(chē)攝影棚、人像攝影棚和景物攝影棚等工作場(chǎng)地，以及多套大畫(huà)幅、中畫(huà)幅數(shù)碼相機(jī)和數(shù)碼后背。
The Photography Department of CCA was founded in 2003. Its aim is to train the students to become professional artists who have both rich theoretical and practical knowledge required by the developing society. Students who graduate from the Photography Department are supposed to be able to start a career in the news and press organizations, film/video producing companies, advertising agencies or other media industry branches.
There are two fulltime teachers working in the department now, one of which is a professor. In the meantime, several visiting teachers and professors are invited to teach in the department.
The Photography Department has very professional facilities, including one automobile photo studio, one portrait studio, one fashion photo studio and many large/medium format digital cameras and digital backs.
